Origins

Oxfordshire BiotechNet was originally the Oxford-based biotechnology incubator, providing space, facilities, business services and mentoring for start-up companies in the Oxford BioBusiness Centre.

BiotechNet was very successful, housing and mentoring over 45 companies; many graduated to bigger and better things, often with significant venture capital and investment. It was the only specialist biotechnology incubator in the county, had international recognition and renown and was often quoted as the model to emulate. In 2003, BiotechNet won the global award 'Best Science Based Incubator'. The name BiotechNet - synonymous with industry knowledge, quality and professionalism - was relaunched in early 2007 by BioPartner.co.uk Ltd and Nigel Wild Associates as an expert services consultancy to the bioscience industry.
